Mel Gibson and girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva split

Mel Gibson and his Russian paramour, Oksana Grigorieva, have called it quits.

The pair enjoyed a roughly one-year courtship, resulting in the birth of their daughter, Lucia, who is now 5 months old.

‘They’re both working hard on their careers and trying to raise a sweet baby together. They’re still friends, and they’ll both raise Lucia together,’ a source tells People magazine. Grigorieva and Gibson made their debut in April 2009, the same month it was announced he’d filed for divorce from wife Robyn Moore, ending nearly 30 years of matrimony resulting in seven children of their own.

Gibson and Grigorieva are said to have ‘drifted apart’ as they focused on their careers. Gibson is shooting ‘How I Spent My Summer Vacation,’ which he also wrote, in Mexico.
