Actor-director Ed Burns debuted his latest flick, ‘Nice Guy Johnny,’ in New York on Friday as part of Robert De Niro‘s Tribeca Film Festival.
Model Christy Turlington, Burns’ wife, helped the filmmaker host pals for an after-party at Tribeca’s City Hall restaurant, with sponsors Urban Daddy and Heineken.
In the intimate Granite Room, Chris Martin of Coldplay showed face while his wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, promoted ‘Iron Man 2’ in Los Angeles. ‘Scrubs’ actor Zach Braff turned up as well, with the crowd sipping beers into the wee hours.
Uptown, rapper Ice Cube showed off his directorial debut ‘Straight Outta L.A.,’ with ESPN Films hosting a bash at nightspot Marquee. Jessica Alba came, rubbing elbows and sipping Stolichnaya cocktails with Elizabeth Hasselbeck of ‘The View’ and her husband, Tim.
Meanwhile, at club 1OAK, Ellen Barkin supported her latest film ‘The Chameleon’ with costar Famke Janssen.
After the jump, there are more pics from Tribeca’s busy Friday night...
...and stay tuned to the Ministry for all the party scoopage!

[For the record, 10:20 a.m.: A previous version of this post tagged Ed Burns as an actor turned director; of course, he’s been an actor-director since his debut ‘The Brothers McMullen.’ Thanks to commenter Bob for the catch.//cdz]
