Ashley Judd turned in a spectacular performance Sunday afternoon, hanging tough through 500 miles of 200-mph-plus driving by husband Dario Franchitti -- the last bit perhaps on fumes -- and running like the wind down the pit road (in an adorable sundress, no less) to land a smooch or three on her milk-chugging man after he crossed the Indianapolis 500 finish line first.
Now, we’re sure our friends over in the sports department would have a slightly different take on whose name should be in the headline, but this is our story, and we’re stickin’ to it.
Judd and Franchitti were married in December 2001.
Best wishes also to driver Mike Conway, who was injured during a spectacular crash near the end of the race, allowing Franchitti to cruise in under a caution flag.
