When ‘Contagion’ opens in September, film fans will get to see Matt Damon, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow reunited from 1999’s ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley.’

Damon — who plays husband to Paltrow’s character, a businesswoman stricken by a mysterious virus, in Steven Soderbergh’s thriller — opened up about working with her again after more than a decade.

‘I was reminded of just how amazing she is, she’s a really special actress,’ Damon told ‘Access Hollywood.’ ‘More so than anybody I’ve ever worked with, she’s got an ability to turn it on and off. Like she can just be talking about anything and then when they say, ‘Rolling,’ it’s like she snaps, she just locks in.’

Damon said ‘Mr. Ripley,’ made when he and Paltrow were in their 20s, feels ‘like a lifetime ago.’ With both now married with kids, their vibe was much more adult.

‘We were talking about kids a lot,’ he said. ‘It was nice to reconnect.’

Paltrow is married to Coldplay rocker Chris Martin, with children Apple and Moses. Damon, married to Luciana Barroso for nearly six years, has three kids at home.
