Faulty research. The chief executive of American International Group is complaining to a number of Wall Street banks about what their researchers are saying about the insurance giant.

Keeping open the exchange. While there is talk that Hurricane Irene will shut down New York’s subways this weekend, the New York Stock Exchange is already making plans to be open on Monday morning.
