All four U.S. athletes advanced from the qualification round in men’s snowboard cross on Cypress Mountain on Monday.
Graham Watanabe (Sun Valley, Idaho) led the way for the Americans, posting a best time of 1:20.53 on his second run to place second behind Australia’s Alex Pullin.
Nick Baumgartner (Iron River, Mich.) had a 1:21.70, while Nate Holland (Squaw Valley, Calif.) posted a time of 1:21.78.
Seth Westcott (Sugarloaf, Maine) had a 1:22.87.
Next up is the first round, which begins at 2 p.m. PST, followed by the quarterfinals at 2:26 p.m., the semifinals at 2:42 p.m. and the finals at 2:53 p.m.
