ABC announced a slate of eight prime-time shows -- all of them unscripted -- for the summer months, typically a time of experimentation for networks when viewership traditionally drops.
‘The Bachelorette’ -- Jilted at the last minute by last season’s ‘Bachelor,’ 26-year-old DeAnna Pappas gets to choose from 25 new bachelors. Begins Monday, May 19.
‘The Mole’ -- Jon Kelly hosts the reality series in which 12 players try to uncover the saboteur in their midst. Begins Monday, May 26.
‘Wipeout’ -- Twenty-four contestants compete in extreme obstacle courses for a $50,000 prize. Begins Tuesday, June 24.
‘I Survived A Japanese Game Show’ -- Ten Americans are shipped to Japan to compete in what is described as the ultimate Japanese game show. Begins Tuesday, June 24.
‘ABC News’ Hopkins’ -- A six-part documentary series gives viewers an insiders look at Baltimore’s John Hopkins Hospital. Begins Thursday, June 26.
‘Dance Machine’ -- Each episode stars six ‘regular folks’ who face off in a series of one-on-one dance-offs to pop songs. Begins Friday, June 27.
‘High School Musical: Summer Session’ -- A competition reality series inspired by ‘Disney’s High School Musical’ in which the winner is promised the ‘opportunity of a lifetime’ but whose details are ‘still under wraps.’ Begins Sunday, July 20.
‘Wanna Bet’ -- A British comedy duo host and give four celebrity contestant/judges a chance to win money for their favorite charity by betting on wild stunts and tricks supplied by America. Begins Monday, July 21.
