‘The Biggest Loser:’ No, please, this can’t be happening

She’s back. Just when we thought Melissa was safely in the rear-view mirror, she manages to hop back into the car. I would like to apologize if I was the jinx on this one. One observation: Remember when it was just Lance at the ranch, and he was going on and on about how hard it was for Melissa at home, and how he felt like he was needed back at home blah blah blah. She apparently has no problem leaving him behind to get back on the ranch. Gotta hand it to her, though: She earned it, she pumped those 1,000 steps and seems to be tearing it up in the gym.
On a brighter note: So, so, so happy to see Vicky’s sweet little face back in the ranch. I know this game has to have all its twists and turns to keep things interesting, but it was heartbreaking to see her come so close, three times....well, three times turned out to be the charm. What a generous spirit her mom seems to have. And speaking of twists, I didn’t see this one coming: The return to the ranch wasn’t decided by weight lost. It was by the 1,000-step challenge, and then a vote after each player pleaded their case. A good curve ball.
I was floored when some of the players accused Stephanie -- at left, our hometown girl from West Hollywood -- of game-play. Wha? Huh? I never saw any sign of game-play by her, did you? IMHO, there is zero chance that Stephanie has the ability to control her weight loss to throw weigh ins. I just don’t buy it. She was most likely the next person to go home, no matter what, because she wasn’t losing enough weight. So how is that shrewd game-play at this late stage in the game? But even more confusing: Leading the charge against Stephanie was Koli. Who is the cousin of Sam. Who is the boyfriend of Stephanie. So did Koli ever tell Sam, “Dude, your girl is a snake in the grass?” Are Sam and Koli still tight? What did they all make of Tuesday night’s episode? More importantly: Did they watch it together? What was it like falling below the yellow line with your beau? Will we have another proposal at this season’s finale? Would Koli be the best man?
So many questions!
Hopefully there will be just as many answers during Stephanie’s conference call today. We’ll also hear more from the inspirational Wayne.
I told you it was going to be Kleenex time.
Oh please, oh please, let next week be makeover week.
