The late-night talk-show hosts took on the NFL playoff teams during their Monday night monologues.

NBC’s ‘Tonight’ show host Jay Leno offered this advice on how to keep the New York Giants out of your yard: ‘Put up a goal post!’

Leno also took a shot at Plaxico Burress: ‘Some people took it harder. ... Plaxico shot himself in the other leg.’

Over on CBS, ‘The Late Show’ host David Letterman also took aim at Burress:

‘How about those New York football Giants? I mean, was that a killer? Was that a heartbreak? I mean, Eli Manning, the quarterback for the Giants here in New York is so upset, listen to what he did -- today he has Plaxico Burress shoot him in the leg.’

Then Letterman tackled Manning:

‘And you know last week in the playoffs, Peyton Manning lost, and this week, Eli Manning lost. So I’m telling ya, the Manning brothers are starting to look like the Lehman Brothers.’
