David and Victoria Beckham can’t escape headlines

Founded in 1934, the English soccer club Peterborough United has long been known by its nickname ‘The Posh.’

Leeds United, meanwhile, features a prolific goal scorer named Jermaine Beckford who -- almost inevitably -- is called ‘Becks’ by teammates.

Leeds recently defeated Peterborough, with Beckford scoring twice -- or, as the resulting headline on the Leeds website so neatly put it: ‘Becks Dumps Posh!’

There has been no word on whether the Galaxy’s favorite and still very much married couple found that even remotely amusing.
