Local guys Bob and Mike Bryan won their fifth L.A. Open tennis doubles title and their 54th career doubles crown with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) victory over Germans Benjamin Becker and Frank Moser.

The Camarillo twins, who are 31, haven’t won any tournament as often as their hometown event and they will split $31,900 in prize money. This is their 54th ATP title, which makes them No. 4 in the open era of tennis behind the famous Australian duo of Todd Woodbrige and Mark Woodforde who have 61; and the teams of Americans Peter Fleming and John McEnroe and South Africans Bob Hewitt and Frew McMcMillan, both with 57.

Next up for the Bryans? A little time off so they can polish their music album, ‘Let It Rip,’ which they plan to release at the U.S. Open later this month.
