Sorry, ladies, one of Southern California’s most eligible sports bachelors has been grabbed off the shelf and smuggled off into marital bliss. Cobi Jones, the former U.S. national team, Galaxy and UCLA star and current Galaxy assistant coach, has married his longtime girlfriend, Kim Reese.

The ceremony took place on Saturday in Carlsbad and was attended by many of Jones’ current and former teammates and coaches, including Earnie Stewart, Simon Elliott, Kyle Martino, Joe Max Moore, Gavin Glinton and Zac Abdel.

For the fashion-conscious, the bride’s dress was by Jim Hjelm, the bridal party was outfitted by Nicole Miller, and someone named Joseph Abboud took care of the custom tuxedos for Jones and his groomsmen. Don’t ask me what any of that means, but it seemed noteworthy given the lack of other details.

Oh, yes, the honeymoon will not take place until after the Major League Soccer season. First things first and all that.
