Goaltender Jonathan Quick was not at the morning skate because of flu-like symptoms and will not start Thursday when the Kings take on the Edmonton Oilers.
The Times’ Kevin Baxter reports that Erik Ersberg will get the start in goal instead. Quick, with 34 wins, could be available as a backup by game time.
Also, Richard Clune, called up after Brandon Segal was picked up on waivers by the Dallas Stars, was at the morning skate and will make his NHL debut Thursday night.
