There’s a spirited Texas Christian contingent on hand at Daniel Meyer Coliseum for tonight’s TCU-USC men’s basketball game, all likely amped from the news that TCU is movin’ on up to the Big East side.
Behind all the rah-rah, the Horned Frogs have taken a 38-31 lead over the Trojans at halftime.
For most of the game, USC has played like a bunch of freshmen, which is partly true, since it starts freshmen guards Bryce Jones and Maurice Jones.
TCU jumped out to a 22-13 lead, and USC eventually claimed a lead behind an 8-1 run.
And then TCU went on a 10-2 run to close the half.
The Trojans have shot 12 for 30 (40%) from the field and six players have four or more points, with the high-point men being Bryce Jones and senior forward Alex Stepheson, who each have six.
The Horned Frogs have shot 14 for 31 and are being led by guard Ronnie Moss’ 14 points.
