Apple Inc. is many things: progenitor of the iPhone, home to VIPs named Steve, maker of memorable commercials.
Now, add Cupertino, Calif.’s largest landowner to the list.
The tech giant has bought 98 acres from competitor Hewlett-Packard Co., which is vacating to consolidate its headquarters in nearby Palo Alto, the San Jose Mercury News reported.
In addition to its home base at 1 Infinite Loop, Apple currently owns nearly 60 buildings in the Silicon Valley city where it has been a mainstay for decades.
