Wilbert Jackson, 16, a black youth, was shot in the chest on Figueroa Street just south of W. 51st Street in South-Central Los Angeles and died at 10:26 p.m. Friday, April 27. He was standing in front of a fish outlet when three black men or youths in a car drove by and sprayed bullets. People in the area heard about 15 shots and described seeing Jackson with a bullet wound through his heart. Another black youth or young man was shot multiple times and was hospitalized.
