Photos and a letter at the street shrine for murder victim Velton Gates, 19, who was chased down and executed by gunmen on Friday in Baldwin Village, south of the 10 Freeway and east of Crenshaw Boulevard. He died at the mouth of the alley at Coliseum and Stevely Avenue. The photos were taken Monday, July 30.
