Now that you’ve voted (and you have, haven’t you?), the wait until the first election returns start trickling in might seem maddeningly long.
So why not distract yourself -- and get credit for casting your ballot?
A number of businesses across the country are offering freebies today in an effort to laud voters, The Times’ Andrea Chang reports.
Starbucks, for example, will give complimentary 12-ounce cups of drip coffee at most locations.
Krispy Kreme will give out star-shaped doughnuts to customers at select locations.
And Ben & Jerry’s will give out free scoops of ice cream to all customers at some locations today between 5 and 8 p.m. PST.
To find out which other businesses are applauding those who have done their civic duty, check out Chang’s article here.
