Opinion: Tea party activists like Biden’s ‘big ... deal’ comment too: It’s all the rage on T-shirts calling for healthcare repeal

Ever since Vice President Joe Biden uttered his infamous line at last week’s healthcare bill signing -- whispering in President Obama’s ear that the achievement was ‘a big ... deal,’ the line has captured the political zeitgeist.
The White House put out the word that the president thought the line not only funny but the highlight of the day.
Internet entrepreneurs were quick to seize on the moment with a website dedicated to the utterance and Twitter sites filled with comments about it.
And enterprising Americans created mugs, refrigerator magnets and bumper stickers commemorating the line, some even joining it in the lexicon of political slogans with T-shirts that read: ‘New Deal, Fair Deal, Big ... Deal.’ Apparently that one’s popular at the White House.
But conservatives are clever people too, and now some counter-programming is underway. One memorable T-shirt for sale on zazzle.com has a certain simple elegance to it. ‘Repeal the Big ... Deal.’
So nice of Biden to provide the rhyme.
