Opinion: Iran’s president wants to take on Obama in a TV debate

In a Hulk Hoganian summons, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says he’s ready to meet ‘face-to-face’ with President Obama in a televised debate -- presumably to challenge him for the WWF middleweight title.

Obama hasn’t responded to the challenge yet (neither has the Macho Man Randy Savage), but Ahmadinejad discussed plans on Monday to travel to New York in September for the U.N. General Assembly, as reported by the Associated Press.

‘We are ready to sit with his excellency Obama, face to face, free and before media, to put the world’s issues on the table to find out whose solution is better,’ Ahmadinejad said in a speech aired live on state TV.

Past U.S. presidents have dismissed Ahmadinejad’s requests to meet for debates. However, former presidents have also passed on hanging out on the set of ‘The View.’

Let’s get Obama and Ahmadinejad on a cream-colored couch with Whoopi Goldberg to officiate. Elbow drop!
