Temescal Canyon Coach Mike Sands said after his team’s 40-14 loss Friday night to host Vista Murrieta that he was surprised how much better the Broncos look in person than on film.

He must have been feeling pretty confident when Temescal Canyon marched down the field on the game’s opening possession and scored a touchdown. However, the Titans missed the extra point and things began to unravel from there.

Sands said not moving the ball more effectively was ‘extremely disappointing.’ He planned to look at more game film this morning and try to figure out what went wrong.

‘Did we just get out butts whipped?’ he asked himself after the game.

Sands then offered his own idea of what he might see.

‘I don’t think we were blocking the right guys,’ he said.

Personally, I don’t think that would have mattered. Vista Murrieta was better than the Titans, plain and simple.
