Good call by Corona Centennial running back Ryan Bass.

Arizona might not be known as a top 25 program in recent years, but the Wildcats have sent two running backs to the NFL the last two seasons, MIke Bell of the Denver Broncos and Chris Henry of the Tennessee Titans.

The strength and conditioning program at Arizona is a big reason Bell and Henry were so well prepared, physically, for the NFL. Bell and Henry weren’t even well known in the Pac-10 Conference during their college days, yet both were probably on more Fantasy Football League teams during their rookie seasons than Reggie Bush and Lendale White.

Bass is already a freak of nature (in a good way, Ryan).

Not only that, but he’ll already know his roommate when he heads off to college. Matt Scott, the Centennial quarterback, committed to Arizona last June.

Looks like Arizona is building a pipeline to Corona. Good thing, because Arizona State had already built a pipeline to Norco. By the way, Centennial (8-1, 2-0) plays at Norco (8-1, 2-0) on Friday for the Mountain View League title.
