Forget about Van Nuys leading the City Section in boys’ basketball transfers. Reseda had three transfers from Taft in its starting lineup on Tuesday against Fairfax, plus another transfer from Northridge Academy.

The Taft players were all on junior varsity last season and bolted after JV coach Randall Harris resigned. Harris’ son is one of the transfers, along with another Harris relative.

Reseda led Fairfax for most of the first half in the Redondo tournament game before falling behind at halftime, 28-21. Renardo Sidney of Fairfax had 16 points. The Lions, ranked No. 1 by The Times, did not look good. They were missing guard Chris Solomon, who was on the bench but not expected to play for unspecified reasons.
