I gave the Lady Knights a bit of blog hype the other day, highlighting their 3-0 start. That also means I gave them the K.O.D. What’s that, you ask. Well, it’s the Kiss of Doom. Invariably -- inexplicably -- whenever I give a team a smidgen of praise, it flops or flails or just plain tanks.

Not Bishop Montgomery. The Lady Knights (4-0) beat City Section power Chatsworth, 46-37, in the Redondo tournament’s quarterfinals last night after knocking off two ranked teams earlier this season. Up next for Bishop Montgomery, another ranked squad -- Lynwood, No. 8 in The Times’ preseason rankings -- which it’ll play in the semifinals at 6 p.m Friday.

So, also up next for the Lady Knights -- a possible ranking for themselves.
