Campbell Hall holds edge over Compton after one quarter

Campbell Hall, No. 7 in The Times’ preseason rankings, ended the first quarter with a 21-17 lead over C
No. 5 Compton in a championship quarterfinal of the Ocean View tournament.

So far the stars -- Jrue Holiday of Campbell Hall and Demar DeRozan, pictured, of Compton -- have not taken over the game. Whoops ... Derozan just threw down a monster dunk early in the second quarter that brought his next coach, USC’s Tim Floyd, out of his courtside seat.
