Midfielder Rafael Garcia (Canoga Park) and Goalkeeper Kevin Klasila (Loyola)
Garcia and Klasila, now in college, were named to the 2007 NSCAA/ADIDAS Boys High School All-American Team. Garcia, who just completed his freshman season at Cal State Northridge, was a key component to the Hunters’ 24-0-1 season that culminated with a City Section championship. Klasila, who was the starting goalkeeper at Santa Clara University as a freshman, led the Cubs to a share of the Southern Section Division I title.

Garcia, also an All-Big West second team selection, led Canoga Park with 19 assists and had four goals last year. Garcia had one assist in the Hunters’ 3-1 win against San Fernando in the City Section final.
Klasila, who led Santa Clara to the third round of the NCAA men’s playoffs, was an All-West Coast Conference honorable mention and freshman team selection. Last season, he guided Loyola through the playoffs with two overtime victories to a Division I clash with Santa Margarita. In the finals the Cubs and the Eagles played to a 1-1 draw (ties in a championship game? Come on!)
