Brea Olinda is among the teams competing in the marquee Platinum Division of the West Coast Jamboree, which tipped off this morning. The Ladycats are the defending champion, but are without Jeanette Pohlen, who was chosen by The Times as last year’s Southland player of the year. Pohlen is at Stanford this season.
This year, Brea is leaning on sophomore Kelsey Harris and junior Jonae Ervin.
South Torrance is also in the Platinum Division. Bay Area teams in the tournament hosted by Antioch Deer Valley are Berkeley and Branson.
A rundown of the Jamboree is here.
