No ranked teams this week are up in Dominguez’s grill

Dominguez boys’ basketball has downed mucho mega-powers already this season -- from Campbell Hall to Fairfax to Simi Valley.
So, at quick glimpse, this must seem like a breezy week for the No. 4-ranked Dons. No mega-powers, no ranked teams, none of that’s up in their grill.
But check again -- it could be tougher than you think, playing two hot teams on the road in San Gabriel League showdowns. On Wednesday, the Dons (12-2) play Paramount (14-5), winners of eight in row. Then, on Friday, they battle always-scrappy Lynwood (15-4).
Still -- let’s be real -- a loss to either team would be a huge upset. Especially for a squad that has lost to only one team this season, No. 1 Taft, which beat the Dons twice.
