They’re back...

After a couple forgettable outings against Saugus and Canyon, Valencia jumped back into the Foothill League title race with a dominating 3-0 victory over defending champion Hart on Tuesday. It marked the second consecutive victory for the Vikings, who, heading into this afternoon’s/Thursday’s contest with West Ranch, seemed to have regained the swagger that helped them win 12 of their first 13 games.

I had the chance to catch up with Valencia Coach Sean O’Connell this morning and he talked about the big win, Nicollette Smith‘s clutch performance and the difficulties friends sometimes face when playing against each other in critical contests.
