A couple former girls’ basketball coaches will be honored for their lifetime achievements at The Walter Pyramid on Saturday night.

Legendary Buena coach Joe Vaughan and former Hart coach Dave Munroe will be inducted into the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame during halftime of the Division II-A championship game between Cajon and Ayala.

Vaughan, who had the Buena gym named after him last summer, is the winningest coach in state history. He compiled a 761-112 career record over 32 years with the Bulldogs along with two state championships, six division titles and 27 league crowns.

Munroe led the Indians to a pair of division championships in five title appearances and 15 league titles over 18 years with Hart. He ended his coaching career last spring with a 384-124 career record.
