Reseda makes it too easy for Fremont

Usually it’s the host that makes the guest feel comfortable. But Reseda, the visitor on Monday, when out of its way to make host Fremont happy.
The Pathfinders got six hits off Regents’ starter Jason McCracken. But they also benefited from six Reseda errors that accounted for eight unearned runs in Fremont’s 10-0 victory in the 2008 baseball season opener for both teams.
You name it and the Regents probably did it: overthrowing the bases, grounders through the gloves, wild pitches ... not a display that anyone would want captured on DVD for all posterity.
But as the Regents were leaving Fremont, an assistant coach reminded the team ‘it’s only one game.’
A bit of silver lining in what hopefully is not a season-long dark cloud.
