These Dons are whacking one foe after the next. Boy, that sounds very ‘Sopranos.’

That would be the baseball Dons of El Rancho, whom I’m talking about, not the baseball-bat wielding Dons of North Jersey.

Anyway, something good is bubbling up at El Rancho, which is off to one of its best starts in years at 6-0, compared to a 3-3 start after six games last season.

The Dons have swept the Montebello tournament, then took out tough Montebello and Santa Fe teams, and have outscored opponents 44-15.

Marcus Aldecoa (two homers and 11 RBI) and Aaron Flores (.455 average and four doubles) have sparked the offense while Chris Villalobos is a legit ace with three wins and 32 strikeouts in 21 innings. So there, now you know why these Dons are playing like good fellas.

Um, I should go now.
