Notre Dame picked up a safety when Crespi quarterback Bryan Bennett was called for intentionally grounding in the end zone, pulling the Knights to within, 10-9.

Notre Dame quarterback Ryan Kasdorf, who completed his first 11 passes, was intercepted in the end zone by Brad Lattanzio.
