Oaks Christian has been running ads on Time Warner cable promoting its school, athletics and an upcoming open house, raising concerns whether it’s legal by Southern Section standards.
Southern Section spokesman Thom Simmons said he could not make a response because he has not seen the ad.
Schools are not allowed to run advertising that induces students to come to their school for athletic purposes.
Oaks Christian intends to show the video to the Southern Section to make sure it has followed the section’s Bluebook rules, according to spokesman Tom Konjoyan. The school is in the process of increasing its enrollment.
