Football: Trickery pays off for Orange Lutheran

Brandon Turner completed a pass on a fake punt for a first down for Orange Lutheran, and on the next play Turner connected with Exavier Edwards on a double pass for a 46-yard touchdown to pull the Lancers into a 14-14 tie with Mater Dei midway through the third quarter.
One more thing: Turner isn’t Lutheran’s regular quarterback. That would be Bobby Wheatley, who got the double pass started when he passed backward to Turner, a junior wide receiver and defensive back.
