Boys’ basketball: Fairfax routs Palisades

With four games on tap this week, Los Angeles Fairfax wasted little time in routing Palisades, 89-54, Monday in a Western League game. Only a week ago, Fairfax defeated Palisades by one point.

Renardo Sidney scored 28 points for the Lions (18-3, 7-1), who are headed for a Friday showdown for first place against host Westchester.

In another Western League game, Venice moved into a tie for third place by knocking off University, 60-51. Steven Harris scored 20 points and Isaiah Todd had 16 points for Venice (5-4 in league). University (19-7, 5-4) received 15 points apiece from Alex Brooks and Andre Harris.
