After two weeks of the prep baseball season, there’s no arguing which team is the biggest surprise. That’s Anaheim Loara, which improved to 5-0 Saturday by knocking off Cypress, 6-1, in the championship game of the Loara tournament.

Joey Torres went four for four as Loara won its own tournament for the first time since 1987. Loara defeated No. 2-ranked El Toro earlier in the tournament.

In other baseball news, outfielder Nathan Ibarra of Fillmore set a Ventura County record with 11 runs batted in during a 14-10 victory over North Hollywood. Ibarra, the quarterback for the football team, hit two grand slams.
