Tyler Skaggs, the hard-throwing Santa Monica pitcher, has struck out 18 batters in eight innings this season. He struck out 12 against Simi Valley Royal earlier this week in a 4-2 loss. He has walked only two and given up two hits.
His fastball has touched 94 and 95 mph.
