Baseball: Ryan hits home run for Sherman Oaks Notre Dame

Second baseman Casey Ryan hit a home run and Kelly Dugan added two hits as Sherman Oaks Notre Dame improved to 11-2 with a 5-0 victory over Camarillo on Saturday. Nico Silardi threw five shutout innings to pick up the victory.

In another game, Palos Verdes defeated Newhall Hart, 11-3, in a first-round game of the OC Nissan tournament. Mason Patterson struck out seven to help Palos Verdes improve to 10-2. Hart is 6-6-1.
