Baseball: Simi Valley moves closer to Marmonte title

With three league games to play, Simi Valley has a two-game lead in the Marmonte League after defeating Thousand Oaks, 9-1, on Friday.

Sophomore Levi Shordon struck out four and walked none in six innings. Drew Sandler hit a three-run home run, and Jonathan Meyer and Dennis Vigo had two hits apiece for the Pioneers (17-7, 9-2), the defending Southern Section Division I champions.
