Football: Moorpark 21, Notre Dame 7

With time running out in the second quarter, Moorpark quarterback Brody Rohach threw a seven-yard touchdown pass to Vernon Lins, giving the Musketeers a 21-7 lead over Sherman Oaks Notre Dame with 3.8 seconds left.

Tommy Collet made an interception for Moorpark on his own 45 after a pass went off the hands of Tyler Thomas, returning it to the Notre Dame 39.

The key for Moorpark has been the ability to complete short passes combined with effective running by Austin Edmonson while also denying big plays to Notre Dame’s offense.
