It’s halftime of the game between Anaheim Servite and Huntington Beach Edison, and Servite leads, 6-3. The defenses have been in control.

Edison lost out on a potential scoring opportunity at the end of the second quarter when Jeff Trojan made an interception and returned it to Servite’s 25-yard line. But a personal foul on Edison during the return moved the ball back to the Edison 40.

Servite’s offense has been unable to pick up any big plays. Quarterback Cody Fajardo has a 26-yard run, and that’s about it.

Edison quarterback Matt Viles started the game completing nine of 11 passes for 77 yards. He has since completed one of seven passes for three yards.

Edison’s defense has benefited by the return of Stanford-bound linebacker Jordan Zumwalt, who missed last week’s game with a broken hand.
