Quarterback Bryan Bennett ran 14 yards on an option play for a touchdown, but the two-point conversion attempt failed, and Crespi has closed to within 17-15 of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on its opening possession of the second half.
Brandon Graves stripped the ball from Notre Dame’s Jacob Smith on the opening kickoff, giving the Celts the ball on Notre Dame’s 48.
Bennett, who’s committed to Oregon, looked perfect in the role of running the Ducks’ spread offense the way he ran the ball on the TD.
