Girls’ basketball: Nicole Hung is state’s top athlete of the week

Harvard-Westlake’s senior Nicole Hung has been named the girls’ state athlete of the week by CalHiSports and ESPN Rise.

Hung averages 17 points and 9.3 rebounds a game for Harvard-Westlake (22-1), ranked No. 4 in the Southland by The Times.

She is also a tennis standout, has a 4.2 GPA and plays the bassoon in the school symphony. Hung will attend Princeton in the fall.
