Girls’ basketball: Long Beach Poly 28, Fresno Clovis West 25 at halftime

After trailing 19-11 at the end of the first quarter, Fresno Clovis West came out strong in the second to reduce Long Beach Poly’s lead to 28-25 at halftime in the Southern California Division I regional championship on Saturday at the Galen Center.

Ta’nitra Byrd has 10 points for Poly. Janae Coffee leads Clovis West with nine points and Brianna Orlich has eight.

Clovis West has converted eight of its 13 free throw attempts, Poly is two for seven.
