Encino Crespi and Placentia El Dorado are entering the eighth inning of the championship game of the Diamond Sports National Classic tied at 1-1.
In the bottom of the seventh, Crespi’s Kevin Williams drew a leadoff walk. He moved to second on a sacrifice by Jack Colick. Josh Mason drew an intentional walk. But Austin Walker hit into the third double play of the game for Crespi.
Freshman reliever Chris Rivera of El Dorado has twice gotten his team out of jams in the sixth and seventh. And Crespi has brought in Mason to pitch the eighth.
