Baseball: Narbonne, Cleveland win City playoff openers

Harbor City Narbonne and Reseda Cleveland each won their play-in games for the City Section Division I playoffs on Friday.
Narbonne (11-15-1) defeated Verdugo Hills, 14-4, in six innings. Victor Arroyo had three doubles and five RBIs. Daniel Ibarra added three hits. Narbonne advances to play at No. 1-seeded Chatsworth on Wednesday.
Cleveland (9-18) defeated Sun Valley Poly, 11-2. George Vosahlo hit a two-run home run and Ross Zelen had three hits and four RBIs. Jaylen Bland added two hits. Cleveland will face No. 2-seeded Wilmington Banning on Wednesday.
