The Southern California Little League Championship will be decided this weekend at Tijeras Creek Little League in Santa Margarita.
El Segundo Little League will take on Ocean View Little League (Huntington Beach) in a best-of-three series, with the winner advancing to the West Regional (August 6-15 at San Bernardino).
Ocean View is enjoying its best year in the all-star competition since 2000, when Angel prospect Hank Conger led OVLL to a Southern California title and a runner-up finish at the West Regional. El Segundo is chasing its first Southern California title.
Championship series games are Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. (and, if needed, Monday at 5:30 p.m.) at Tijeras Creek Little League (located behind Tijeras Creek Elementary School, 23082 Avenida Empresa in Rancho Santa Margarita).
