Football: Santa Margarita takes 7-0 lead

An interception on Carson’s first play from scrimmage gave Santa Margarita the ball at the Colts’ 44-yard line, and the Eagles eventually scored on Cory Thomson’s eight-yard run to take a 7-0 lead with 9 minutes 30 seconds left in the first quarter at Saddleback College.

River Cracaft made the interception for Santa Margarita on a ball that sailed badly on Carson quarterback Justin Alo. Eagles quarterback Adam Young later converted a third-and-15 play with a nice 25-yard pass.
