The City Section playoff pairings will be decided Saturday morning, and there figures to be a debate over who gets the No. 1 seed.

Will it be Marine League champion Carson, which has played probably the toughest schedule among the top City contenders?

Will it be the winner of the Crenshaw-Dorsey game?

If Dorsey wins, the Dons will be 10-0 and that will probably trump Carson’s 8-2 record. If Crenshaw wins, the Cougars will be 8-2, but Carson would have an advantage in tougher schedule.

Coaches will be voting on the seedings, not an independent panel, so it will be interesting to see if playing a tough schedule matters.
